Somatic Therapy Session
Service Description
Each person brings a different history, relationship with their body, and way of being in the world. I approach sessions collaboratively, with attention to what feels most relevant and workable for you in the moment. My work draws from Somatic Experiencing™ and NeuroAffective Touch®, alongside relational, developmental and body-based approaches. Somatic Experiencing brings attention to the ways the nervous system responds to stress and experience, while NeuroAffective Touch offers another way of working with the body and with early developmental patterns through attuned, consensual touch. These approaches are not used as a set formula. At times our work may be conversational; at other times we may notice sensation, movement, tension, emotion, or what is happening between us in the present moment. Touch may also be included where appropriate and always with clear consent and choice. At the heart of the work is curiosity about the relationship between body, mind and experience, and about the patterns that may have developed over time. Rather than trying to force change, we make space to understand what is happening and to explore what may become possible with greater awareness, connection and choice.
Cancellation Policy
Life happens — and I understand that things can change unexpectedly. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask that you please give at least 48 hours' notice. This supports me in offering the space to someone else and honours the time and care I hold around each booking. If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, the full fee will apply, unless it’s due to illness or emergency — in which case, please reach out and we’ll find a way to navigate it together. For group offerings, your place is reserved in a small, limited space. If you’re unable to attend, I appreciate as much notice as possible so the group container remains clear and held. Thank you for your understanding — and for being in respectful relationship with this work.
